Chhotu Pump from Kirloskar has a unique motor design that can work on UPS. The pump is capable of priming up to 3 meters. The motor is capable of enduring high voltage fluctuation from 180 to 240 volts. It is lightweight so it can be easily carried away from one place to another. TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled) capacitor is responsible for starting and running the motor. The impeller is made up of brass, deliver casing is of cast iron, pump shaft of carbon steel, mechanical seal of carbon ceramic and mounting casing is of cast iron.
